Hey y’all! Wanted to share with you a couple of exciting projects that I’ve had the honor of being a part of.
First up, Food Forward!
My good friend Greg Roden has finished a really insightful and entertaining pilot about Urban Agriculture in America, and PBS is airing it tonight in LA! I had the honor of animating the opening intro and various sequences throughout the episode, and I’m super excited that the show is finally going public! Please, if you have a moment, tune in and check it out. Also, if you’re not in LA, PBS will be airing it throughout the month across the country. You can check the local listings here and here.
Also, there is a new book just released through Liquid Comics called “Graphic Elvis”, which commemorates the 35th anniversary of Elvis’ death this year. The book features a ton of never before seen photos of Elvis throughout his life, including letters and notes he had written, and also a gallery of illustrations that comic artists around the world have contributed. I was asked to feature Elvis as a Super Spy, as he had always loved the James Bond stories, so here is the piece that I contributed:
I tried to make it feel like a record cover of the soundtrack to a fictional Elvis spy movie, which was a lot of fun to do. You can see a sample of some of the other artists’ pieces here.
Alrighty, that’s it for now. Please stay tuned!
