Zombies vs. Cheerleaders

Coming out this June is the first comic book from 5Finity Productions called “Zombies vs. Cheerleaders”! I had the opportunity to draw one of the three main covers for issue #1, along with Jason Worthington and Jessica Hickman. Here’s the official write-up of the comic, and here’s the cover:

Oh, and this guy’s awesome:

  1. Hutch says:

Hey Justin…Love the cover! Quick question: Are you doing all the line work in photoshop or is it hand-inked? I’d love to hear any other thoughts about process, too. Dynamite, baby!

  2. congrats on the cover man!

Also, yes that guy is awesome, I sense a groovemusher remix very soon!

  3. Justin says:

Haha, thanks Matt! Dude, that song is just begging for a little remix treatment. Soon……very soon……..!

  4. Justin says:

Yo Eric! Thanks for the compliments man! The two cheerleaders were hand-drawn and inked on animation paper, and all of the BG lines and colors are via Photoshop magic. I’ll post a quick step-by-step of the illo here shortly…..

  5. Greg Banker says:

I love the cover Justin, It makes me wish I can still get away with drawing stuff like that – but when my 8 and 4 year old asks, “Daddy, what happened to that girls clothes?” I have to go back to drawing SpongeBob. :) )
Oh and I agree, that guy is awesome – he reminds me of the guy in the Viagra commercials that can’t get the smile off of his face!

  6. SK says:

    That’s an awesome cover!

I had a chance to review this comic and get a few words from Steve Frank :
